In this episode, I have a conversation with Rob Walch about the recent transition of Libsyn users to the new Libsyn Three system. The conversation actually led to some very insightful information in the area of knowing how you can instantly overwrite a file that you may want to replace.

Also, I ended the show talking more about some additional comments that Leo Leporte has shared related to the medium of podcasting.

Hi Cliff, after listening to this podcast I went to buy a plan from Libsyn. I did what as you said:

1. I use WordPress to publish the podcast
2. I use Powerpress plugin for WordPress
3. I use feedburner to burn the feed and submit to itunes
4. I only want to use Libsyn for hosting media purpose

I just bought a package from Libsyn. Before that I host my files in my own hosting, and using WordPress to publish.

I use a plugin called Powerpress, it automatically generate download link for the mp3 files. I tried syncing that feed to Libsyn and the files are pulled to Libsyn successfully.

Now the problem is Powerpress still shows download link from my own hosting but not from Libsyn!

I use feedburner to burn my feed, I have submitted this feed to Itunes and it is published there already.

So I need to maintain everything except one thing: when someone play the file, it will play from Libsyn, when someone download the file, it will download from Libsyn.

How did you make this happen? Do you go to the Podcast section generated by Powerpress and fill in the new link from Libsyn or what?
