gspn.tv Weekly Round Up 3/11/10

Hi GSPN Fans! This is Carole from the Community here again bringing you the weekly round up. Here is New York the snow is finally melting and we are finally seeing the sun and some warmer temps.  If I didn’t already have cabin fever before, now it’s really driving me crazy!  I went outside today for no other reason than to breathe in some fresh air and feel the sun on my face.  I had just planned on walking around and looking for signs of spring, but instead I unexpectedly ended up getting myself into a project.  More about that in a minute…

Right now, here’s what rolled out on the GSPN feed in the last week – go get ‘em while they’re hot:

+ denotes podcast released for Plus Members only

+ Help iGot a Mac 110 – Big Games Coming to the Mac?

+ Social Media Serenity 031 – LoseIt

Family From the Heart 099 – Praying Together as a Couple

Cliff and Stephanie admit that they find it hard to pray together as a couple and feel like they should pray together more often.  Sometimes doing devotions together instead seem to make things easier.   Is it necessary for couples to play together every day anyway?  They feel it’s probably different for every couple…  Cliff and Stephanie also talk about their most favorite vacation, and they talk about some of the amazing trips they went on when Cliff was working for the insurance company.

World According to Meagan 002 – Alice in Wonderland

Pursuing a Balanced Life 457 – My Decision Regarding Equipment Sales

It’s been several days since Cliff shared David’s three words of advice. He’s received a great deal of advice from close friends. In this episode, Cliff shares what he’s decided as it relates to his future in equipment sales.

I thought this was going to be a cut and dry answer but it’s not – Cliff has really thought this through and I think he’s come up with an excellent solution.  Cliff is not only a great podcaster, but he’s really quite a savvy businessman.

Full Time Mom 117 – Where Have We Been?

All your questions are answered about what’s been going on – or not going on.  If you’re a fan of this podcast, don’t miss this episode.

Weekly Lost Podcast 237 – Dr. Linus Initial Reaction

In this episode, Stephanie and Cliff give their initial reaction to Season 6 Episode 7, “Dr. Linus.”

You know, I watch Lost just like they do each week, yet there always seem to be things I didn’t pick up on, or I didn’t understand – it’s always helpful to listen to their recap – the “puzzle pieces” always fit better afterwards!  :-P

And that’s a wrap for last week!

So, I had just meant to walk around outside today and see if any of my daffodils were poking through the soil, or see if I spotted any crocus when I came upon my garden.  My garden that I did not clean up or cut down last fall (bad, bad me!).  I couldn’t even see if my irises were poking through there was so much dead plant matter all over the place.  So I went and got some garden gloves and some shears and started hacking away at LAST year’s garden ’till I got the whole thing cleaned up.  I don’t have much of a green thumb, but I try.

Anybody else out there start working on their gardens?  Did you start your seeds inside yet?  Leave me a comment and tell me if you’ve spotted any signs of spring yet!

See you next week! Carole

gspn.tv Weekly Round Up 3/4/10

Hi GSPN Fans! This is Carole from the Community here again bringing you the weekly round up. Did you get totally slammed with snow last week?  You know, when you hear people talking about “emergency preparedness” seems like they never mention important details like, “Make sure you’ve downloaded all the current available gspn.tv podcasts” and, “Make sure your mp3 player or laptop is charged so you can listen to those podcasts when the power goes off”.  We had massive amounts of wet snow, trees down and power outages around here where I live in the Hudson Valley area of NY, but I’m happy to say I was “prepared” with plenty of gspn.tv entertainment! :-D

Right now, here’s what rolled out on the GSPN feed in the last week – go get ‘em while they’re hot:

Cliff also talks about the pressures of how even when he’s putting new work flows in place, it seems that the amount of additional work that comes in continues to grow at an even faster pace.

Pursuing a Balanced Life 456 – Three Words That Could Change My Life?

Cliff started recording this episode a little after 2 o’clock in the morning. He had received some audio feedback from a client, and good friend, named David Doucette. David’s audio feedback was 16 minutes and 3 seconds in length. Near the beginning of his message, he mentioned that he had three words to share that had the potential to change Cliff’s life in a positive way. Ever since Cliff listened to that message with those three words, he’s not been able to stop thinking about what it would mean to him if he were to follow through with the advice provided in those three words.

This is one of those episodes that Cliff will be pointing people to for quite some time! He hopes that this will encourage and inspire you to evaluate what you are doing with your time and to make changes so that you are being efficient with the resources that God has given to you.

I think this is definitely one of those “light bulb moments” for Cliff – this is really a great episode you should make time to listen to!  (I personally think those three words do make perfect sense.)

See you next week! Carole

gspn.tv Weekly Round Up 2/25/10

Hi GSPN Fans!  This is Carole from the Community here again bringing you the weekly round up.  You probably noticed that I have a different avatar – yes, I’ve had a total makeover!  LOL.  Well, it’s really the same ol’ me – the little cow avatar was from my blog – but you folks know me from the gspn.tv Community, so a “Community” avatar was in order, don’t you think?  And you know, being a part of the Community has it’s perks because I didn’t have to waste a bunch of time trying to figure out how to make one of these cool avatars, I just asked someone (it was Cliff in fact, but there are so many tech/social media gurus in our Community, I know I could have gone to the forum or our “tweeps”).   Wanna make your own?  I’ll tell you how I made mine in a minute….

gspn.tv Weekly Round Up 2/18/10

Moocow AvatarHi GSPN Fans! Here I am again with the weekly round up for you. Like many of you, we’ve gotten our share of snow this winter, which has meant quite a few snow days for my daughter.  Now, it seems like every time there’s a snow day, my daughter decides she wants to pull out some big toy or project from either up in a closet, or from down in the basement.  Two snow days ago it was her pretend kitchen and the bins of play food that went with it that I had to drag up from the basement.  If I thought that was bad, for yesterday’s snow day she chose a toy that is literally the bane of my existence.  In a minute I’ll tell you what that was….

So, before I had even had my first cup of coffee my daughter announced that she wanted to bring out the Moon Sand.  Two Christmases ago they had Moon Sand commercials on every five minutes, and my daughter was one of millions of victims who succumbed to the desire for Moon Sand.  *I* resisted buying the stuff, but my husband, in his heartfelt desire for our daughter to have the things she most wanted for Christmas, unwisely purchased her a Moon Sand kit.  The stuff makes a terrible mess, seems to get everywhere, and is a pain to clean up.  What’s worse, for some unknown reason, our daughter decided to add water to it.  Cleaning it up felt like a challenge: “Mom vs. Moon Sand”.  I didn’t let the Moon Sand beat me, but it wasn’t easy!  Sigh.  All I can say is if there is another snow day, our daughter is going to be lucky if I even give her a deck of cards to play with!!

Do your kids have a toy that is YOUR nemesis?  Leave a comment and tell me about it!

Moocow AvatarHi GSPN Fans! Here I am again with the Weekly Round Up for you. Even though it’s the dead of winter, a bright spot has been the return, FINALLY, of Lost.  Or so I thought, anyway…  I have to admit, I was pretty underwhelmed by the first episode of this season.  I haven’t even watched this week’s episode yet, it’s on the DVR waiting for us to watch it.  I feel like I’m falling out of love with Lost.  I think I know why, and what I’m going to try to do to “get the magic back”, but I’ll tell you about it in a minute….

So, as far as my lost-that-lovin-feelin about Lost, I’m thinking maybe it was the excruciatingly long hiatus that is to blame.  Maybe I need a few episodes to remind me of the characters I loved, and the stories that kept me on the edge of my seat…  I’ll push through and hope for the best, but in the meantime, I think my RX will be to listen to Cliff and Stephanie’s Weekly Lost Podcasts to bolster my enthusiasm.  That’s how I found gspn.tv in the first place – I needed something to listen to on my iPod while mowing the lawn.  Lost led me to them, now maybe Cliff and Stephanie can lead me back to Lost!  LOL!

How did you find Cliff/Stephanie/gspn.tv?  Leave a comment and share *your* story!
