Welcome To The Help I Got A Mac Podcast!
The Help I Got A Mac podcast was originally launched after I, Cliff Ravenscraft, purchased my very first Apple/Mac computer. I recall my initial excitement about owning a Mac wearing off after about two weeks. I had become quite frustrated with how the Mac OS differed from the Windows OS. I needed help and that’s why I launched this show and titled it, “Help I Got A Mac!”
In the Fall of 2007, I met Chris Beiting, a former Apple Store Genius who came to my rescue with a willingness to answer any and all my Mac related questions. I invited him to join me me on a weekly basis and we have now provided more than 100 hours of content devoted to helping the brand new Mac Switcher and discussing all things Apple, including Macs, iPhones, iPods, iPads, and iEverything Else.
In September 2011, Chris was preparing to become a father for the very first time. After 179 episodes, we made the difficult decision to stop the weekly production of this show.
Here’s the deal, Chris and I may randomly produce and episode here and there to discuss major Apple related announcements. It is for this reason that I will leave the subscription links below. I will do my best to also promote these random episodes through the social networks and on our mailing list.

In this episode of Help I Got A Mac, Chris and I open and close the show with the recorded words of Steve Jobs who has died at the age of 56.
Steve has had a tremendous positive impact on the world and in our lives personally. We will remember him and miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
In the episode, we also gave our thoughts on the recent Apple announcement which unveiled the new iPhone 4S. Please listen to learn why Chris is considering going Android and why I am almost certainly going to hold onto my iPhone 4 until the iPhone 5 comes out.

In this episode of Help I Got A Mac, Chris and I talk about our reactions to the announcement that Steve Jobs has resigned as CEO of Apple, as well as how we felt about the media coverage related to this news story.
Most of the episode is totally geek love for Apple and why we are such Apple Fan Boys! It’s hard to believe that I have gone from being an Apple Hater to Apple Fan Boy in what seems to be such a short period of time.
We also talk about the news that HP, the largest PC manufacturer in the world, may be stepping out of the PC making business.
We wrapped up the episode with some pretty sad news of our own. We are currently removing this podcast from our weekly production schedule. Chris’ schedule has been quite hectic these past few weeks/months and Baby Beiting is due in just two weeks. Chris has requested some time off to adjust to life with the new arrival to his family.
This IS NOT the end of Help I Got A Mac. Chris and I will be back to cover any major Apple news items, such as new product announcements, Keynotes, etc. If you enjoy Help I Got A Mac, we strongly encourage you to stay subscribed as we will have some random episodes here and there and Chris says that he does expect to come back to the show on a weekly basis when he feels like he has adjusted to the changes that are about to come his way.
