@gspn @thrivingmosaic I listened to Family From The Heart's Radio Theater Version of Les Mis (http://www.amazon.com/Miserables-Radio-Theatre-Victor-Hugo/dp/1589973941/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1357586210&sr=1-1&keywords=les+miserables+radio+theater ), great, Saw the non-musical movie, helped with a "School" production and LOVE & own the 25th anniversary that was shown on PBS. That was great because it featured the casts of several different runs (including Samantha Barks playing the same roll she has in the movie). Cliff each cast HAS to make it their own and not impersonate other actors who played the part. Even the switch to film required changes. However the director of the movie required the cast to sing every note you see on screen. Where in the past (Phantom etc.) actors lip synced to audio. I was pleased with most of the cast of the movie. Crow is a rock singer and was lacking a bit. Jackman was very good (I saw his sining chops in Oklahoma, the stage cast took the show to a sound studio and did it there and it is a great DVD). Barks was great. I cried several times. So I would say to both of you, go see it and appreciate it for an adaptation.
