Just wanted to let Stephanie know about a great meal planning app called Paprika!  It allows you to save your recipes and create a shopping list.  It is amazing!  Check it out!

  • segovesus Thanks for the additional resource!

  • JanellHoekstra Thanks so much, I’ll let Stephanie know!

Hey Cliff/Stephanie – over the past couple of episodes I’ve heard you talk about spending more time together as a family and finding things that everyone is into. You should try picking up a few board games; and I don’t mean the classics such as Monopoly, etc. I’ve recently discovered a whole realm of extremely fun board games. As a start, I would recommend picking up “Ticket to Ride”. You can find it at your local Target and its 2-5 players. My 9 year old daughter enjoys playing it with me, and I’ve played with various adults as well, so it’s a game that’s fun and engaging for all kinds of people.

  • ChrisTheProf Thanks for the tip, I’ll talke to ThrivingMosaic and the kids to see what they think.

I just sent you a copy of the pocket version of the game for iOS. You can play local multiplayer games across multiple devices via Bluetooth and get a good feel for how the game plays. Obviously, the game plays better when you are all gathered around a board, but the game itself is $40 so with the app you can try it out and see if its something you’d be interested in first

  • ChrisTheProf WOW! Thank you!  When you say you just sent it, how did you send it?  I don’t see any emails regarding it.

  • ChrisTheProf

I wasn’t sure what address to use, so I used your cliff at podcastanswerman email address. There should be an email from iTunes in there, or sometime soon.

  • ChrisTheProf It just came through.  Got it downloaded.   Thank you so much.  This rocks.  Can’t wait to dig in.

Hey, love this episode. Last night at our youth group we watched this awesome video that kind of talks about bullying and words. Thought you guys might like it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sa1iS1MqUy4 It is a Ted Talk, warning, there is one part of the video where he does use profanity. It is at 4:52 seconds in the video where he uses the profanity, about 3 seconds. to say it. Anyways, great video to watch.

Cliff Ravenscraft ChrisTheProf Ticket to Ride is a awesome family game. My kids love playing it too. Not to mention, there are a lot of expansion packs to it you can get. Easy to learn and lots of fun.
