I am wondering about how and why Desmond is special. Daniel told him he must find his (Daniel's) mother.

Is there any reason why Ben and Desmond have not met face-to-face? Is there a reason why Desmond s not required to go back to the island?

I have wondered why Desmond has never met Ben, nver mentioned his name, or vice versa. Desmond was in the hatchfor a long time - and we know that Ben must have known aout him. So what is the connection between them?

Any ideas?

His mind can be "changed" without influencing what has happened, but only what is going to happen.

Desmond remembers things in chronological order instead of the way everybody else remembers thing - in the order events happened. These two ways are different in the Lost universe!!! BUT - Desmond can not go back and change things!

Remember... What ever happened, happened!
