In episode 067 of Family From The Heart.  There was a topic that was introduced within the chat room and I decided to cover it.  In covering the conversation, I made the decision to be extremely authentic and honest about the topic at hand.

It had to do with the topic of race and how did Stephanie and I feel about the idea of people from different ethnic backgrounds getting married.

If you have not listened to that episode, I think you should listen to it before reading the following conversation.

If you don't intend to listen to that episode, but do intend to read the following, I will just say that I mentioned that Stephanie and I both believe that all people are created equal regardless of the color of their skin.  I also shared that I have no issues with people from different ethnic backgrounds getting married.

However, I did share some thoughts about a double standard that I had recognized in my own through process when thinking of the issue on a more personal level.  If you want to know what that is, you'll have to listen to the episode.

Anyway... today, I was in the chat room and Chanda was very kind and shared with me that she had been offended by my statements in the podcast.

We had a great conversation in the chat room and I think we both understand each other better.  Knowing that not all people would be offended by this, but that some would, I wondered how I could provide some follow up to this in our next episode without making the offense worse.

With that, the idea came to go in and use screen grabs to share our entire conversation here in the forum to help understand where these statements that I shared came from.  I'm simply going to briefly cover this in the next FFTH and point people to come here to read.

If I've offended you in any way, I truly am sorry.  Feel free to email me at Cliff@gspn.tv if you would like to discuss privately.

Here's the conversation:
