Echo and delay with Skype only when going through mixer > PC

Here's a conundrum.

On two PCs now, whenever I make Skype calls through the mixer to the PC, my interviewees are reporting significant issues with echo and delay. This makes for a particularly challenging recording environment.

When I speak directly into the laptop using Skype, I come through absolutely fine. No echo, no delay. No problems.

So it's clearly something to do with the mixer linking in to the computer.

I've been using mix minus when recording to a digital recorder (Zoom H2) to stop them hearing themselves back.

I guess I need to go through every link in the chain to figure the whole thing out.

Before I spend many hours on this, has anyone else had similar issues?

Hey Cliff!

Thanks for that. I seriously have/had the hardest time getting this all sorted. I've had the mix minus all set up for ages - but I think I've isolated the problem. A leaky cable.

Now I'm having troubles with the JK Audio Broadcast Host. Oh man!
