Hello folks.

Some of you already know I coproduce a podcast called "An Apotheosis of a Bombast" with a friend from the U.K. (available through http://bombastpodcast.podbean.com ) where we talk about strange news stories, interesting websites, and other things which make us chuckle.

Well, we're both big LOST fans and we've decided that it's too quiet during this long hiatus, so we've decided to launch a Hiatus (and Season 6) Lost Podcast entitled "ReThinking Lost"

http://rethinkinglost.podbean.com  (also available directly from I-Tunes).

Episode 1 is up already, Episode 2 will be released just after the holiday weekend. Episode 3 is recorded and in the editing stages... and we've got a recording schedule set up that should have us releasing episodes on a weekly basis.

The premise is that we will be re-examining other people's analysis of Lost over the last 5+ years.

We open the show with a discussion of IGN's Top 50 Lost loose ends (from 2006), but we have many other similar lists and articles in the queue for upcoming shows. We've got predictions magazines and sites made for seasons 2, 3, 4, and 5, theories people rejected or favored over time, rumors and spoilers from the past that turned out to be "foilers," discussions of character usage and misuage by the writers, and lots more.

It's spoiler-free for Season 6 and it's the type of show you will be able to jump in at any time and listen to episodes in any order.

The change in style from our other show (Apotheosis of a Bombast) threw us off a little bit with Episode 1 - so please consider the content, not the flow representative of what the show is going to be - as we recorded Episode 4 today it had the natural rhythm of a 74th episode.

Sso when you need some LOST to fill in the long hiatus and a rewatch isn't quite what you're looking for... come rethink LOST with Elton and I (and the occasional guest).

Thanks.

Scott,

Awesome idea.

Stephanie and I are about to launch back into our Weekly Lost Podcast.  We'll going to be doing a huge "Lost Podcast Flashback" series...

We're going back into the archives and evaluating all the stuff that We've personally covered on the Weekly Lost Podcast over the past three years.

If you send some audio feedback for Weekly Lost Podcast I'll be happy to mention your show to the gspn.tv community!

Sounds like Jeremy (@Phlegon) and I may have to do another Unweekly Lost Podcast, too. Smiley

-- this was my first attempt at podcasting

I initially discovered podcasting from Scott Paton, a local (Vancouver, BC) podcaster, who hosts podcasting and internet marketing seminars. From there I discovered The Podcast Answer Man and I am inspired by Cliff's success in pursuing his passion and making a living doing what he loves to do! I did a couple podcasts using Podomatic and was surprised by the number of subscribers I had relatively quickly. I podfaded and now I'm back with the new show and have a few ideas for others. I am learning as much as I can (will soon be a consulting client) but sometimes it can be frustrating to figure it out on my own. I will be signing up as a plus member soon. I can see the value to the membership just from the PAM feed alone. I haven't signed up yet due to my business going down which temporarily brought me down with it! But I'll be there soon!

I'm excited to learn that another podfaded podcaster is coming back to go at it again.   Welcome back to the family Wink

So excited to hear that you're soon going to become an Plus Member and also that you may even be doing some consulting down the road.

Looking forward to seeing what where you go with all this!!!

I hope I'm not repeating, but I did a search for myself to make sure.

I produce a couple podcasts one is for a client -- a museum here in Elkhart, Indiana, called "Where the Rivers Meet."  Info at http://www.ruthmere.org/podcast.asp

Second podcast is called Creative License, about Creativity and Innovation, idea generation, etc.  The website is:
http://creativelicense.dufourcreative.com.  The site was re-jiggered with the BluBrry PowerPress plug-in for WordPress, and the show notes are kind of non-existent until I can get back in.  The nice thing about PowerPress (something I learned from Cliff), is that blog posts can co-exist with the podcast posts quite nicely -- you just create a category feed for the podcast(s) that is the one you send to feedburner (or whatever).

I also produce a purely self-indulgent political podcast which I'm considering dropping -- It's at http://podcast.elkhartreview.com and is companion to a website called Elkhartreview.com.  I find although I have lots of opinions, I have difficulty finding time to pull enough "good stuff" together for a show.  I may be overreaching, is the problem, I think.

Hello everyone!

I was looking for a place to post about my new podcast and then found this thread. As of a few weeks ago, I have become a podcaster! Motivated by all that I learned from Fr. Roderick and Cliff at the CNMC and a desire to talk about a topic that I have great interest in, I launched into a show with my friend Kien. So far we have done two test episodes and the second was posted on our new website. Our official launch will be next week with a Fall TV Preview and we probably won't be in iTunes or have an RSS feed until we have a few episodes recorded.

TV Rewind with Kien and Steph is a weekly format TV review and news podcast where two TV enthusiasts discuss the latest happenings in the tv industry. We'll be talking about new items, shows we've watched, a topic (possibly weekly) and a pick of the week.

I'm now 4 shows into a podcast about Mixed Martial Arts called "Cage Talk Radio".    If anybody else in here is a fan, I would love to hear what you think.  This podcast was definitely inspired by GSPN.tv.  I listened to PAM "cover to cover" so to speak and was definitely inspired to take action and get my voice over an RSS feed.

Congrats on the new show Steph, hope everything is going smoothly.

Anyone who's following me on twitter (@ChrisTheProf) may know this already, but I recently re-launched one of my shows called "The Nerd is the Word".  Originally it was a show with just me talking about things I had been doing, but now the show has a lot more focus and my girlfriend and I co-host it and discuss life through the eyes of a couple of nerds.  We still talk about some of the nerdy things we do, but now we also talk about nerdy news stories and much more!

You can find The Nerd is the Word at the 1.21 Studios website, http://1point21studios.com, or at http://thenerdistheword.com

If you're into comic books/webcomics, you should talk a listen to my other show "Obsessive Comics Disorder" at http://ocdcast.com.  Its geared more towards people that are just trying to get into the world of comics, so if that's you I suggest you take a listen!

I've got two podcasts, one of which is in full-time production, the other of which is... well, not so much.

Geek Dads Weekly
GDW is a podcast by and for geek dads and the people that put up with us. We cover social media, games, movies, comics, sports, computers, tech... pretty much anything geeky. And of course, raising kids.

I do this show twice weekly now. It started as Geek Dads @ Home in December 2008, and after a number of line-up changes, my partner Joe Magennis and I (two of the original three co-founders) decided to rebrand and relaunch as Geek Dads Weekly in January 2010. We brought in a third co-host, Drew Bennett, in March. After some shuffling around (Joe and I both moved out of our respective states to new locations), we figured out that Drew can't do the show on weekdays anymore, and Joe can't do the show in evenings anymore... so... two shows! I do an episode Sunday nights with Drew and a show Thursday afternoons with Joe. It works out really well actually, because aside from the general "geek dads" label, the two of them have very different interests and the two shows tend not to cover the same ground.

We're currently doing the show as a double-ender. Not ideal, but it is what it is.

The URL is http://geekdadsweekly.com
In iTunes (shortcut) - http://geekdadsweekly.com/itunes
Direct feed (whole site): http://www.geekdadsweekly.com/feed
Direct feed (podcast only): http://www.geekdadsweekly.com/category/geek-dads-weekly/feed

Oh yeah - and unlike the other thing that I'm about to post, GDW is "clean". There might be the occasional PG-13 word dropped here or there, but there's almost never anything you wouldn't hear on broadcast television.

The other thing I do, I guess you could call it a podcast (I'm never sure of the terminology, to be honest) is a video series.

Daniel Destroys
I got the idea to do this from watching Aalgar's Transformers series on YouTube. In each video, I tear apart an episode of the old Super Friends cartoon with sarcastic comments. It's a lot like Mystery Science Theater 3000 in many ways, but the videos are only about 7 minutes long and I don't have any robot friends. I'm a massive fan of the show and of comic books, so it's a very loving look at the old 'toons, but I do love making fun of the really ridiculous aspects of it (like how Robin has a lightsaber in the first episode!)

If these were rated, they'd be a soft R for occasional profane language. Maybe PG-13 if they were feeling generous that day.

It's YouTube-based, so there's only one URL you need I guess: http://www.youtube.com/user/danielmclark
