Moocow AvatarHi GSPN Fans! Here I am again with the weekly round up for you. I wish you all a happy, healthy and prosperous 2010!  So far we are doing ok with “happy” and “prosperous”, but not so good with “healthy”.  I came down with a cold just before New Year’s Eve which didn’t seem that bad, but it is just lingering and lingering and developed into this super annoying cough that comes in the evening.  However, I am the sort of person who doesn’t go to the doctor unless I’m at death’s door, and I’m not one to lay in bed all day and let sickness stop me from my normal homemaking duties.  My husband and daughter, well, they are another story, which I’ll tell you about in a minute…

Right now, here’s what rolled out on the GSPN feed in the last week – go get ‘em while they’re hot:

Pursuing a Balanced Life 449 – I Struggle Too

In this episode, Cliff shares that he doesn’t always have it all together. Recently he’s come across someone who has recently found who about who he is and what he’s done by following his passion. Several times this person indicated that Cliff seemed to be someone who could do no wrong. Cliff told him that that he has certainly learned a great deal along this journey that he’s been on. However, as this episode clearly indicates, Cliff struggles just like anyone else.

This episode was tough to listen to – I wanted to yell, “Cliff!  Don’t be so hard on yourself!  We all fail sometimes!”

So, as I mentioned, unless I just had a baby or have pneumonia, I could be outside digging ditches with 101 degree fever – not much stops me.  However, my husband and daughter seem to need much more, shall we say, “nursing” than I do.  So just my luck, just as I’m looking forward to having the house back to myself after Christmas vacation, my husband comes down with some horrible flu/cold/malady and is home for a few days this week.  And of course I got to play nurse, and got to run up and down the stairs bringing him chicken soup and tea and whatnot, extolling sympathy.

So, are you like me and can tough it out through just about any illness?  Or are you one of those people that needs some “nursing”?

Leave me a comment and commiserate or defend yourself! :-P

See you next week! Carole
