Moocow AvatarHi GSPN Fans! Here I am again with the weekly round up for you. This week where I live it’s “Fair Week” – we have an awesome county fair here in Dutchess County, NY.  We will be spending quite a few days at the fair because of our involvement in 4H and also just because we LOVE the fair!  Something I look forward to each year is all the super yummy fair food.  For years there’s something my mother-in-law has been trying to get me to try, but I’ve resisted.  In a minute I’ll tell you what it is, and who knows, maybe you can egg me on. :-)

Right now, here’s what rolled out on the GSPN feed in the last week – go get ‘em while they’re hot:

+Social Media Serenity 006 - Twibbons Tweetie Tweetdeck and More

In this episode, Erik Fisher and myself, Cliff Ravenscraft, share a little bit about the following items:
* Erik shares his verdict in Tweetdeck vs. Tweetie on iPhone.  Of course Tweetie wins!
* April aka JoyfulSparrow provides some thoughts on why she likes TweetDeck Desktop.

Sneaking in to say that if you’ve just been using the regular Twitter page for your “tweeting” you’ve gotta listen in and hear about these applications for your computer or phone that make the Twitter experience much easier, organized and less time consuming!  (I personally use TweetDeck on my laptop.)

Almost Daily Devotional 134Seeking Wisdom

We happen to be in the process of building a little vacation cabin and we have a lot of decisions we need to make that we’re not always very knowledgeable about, which makes us feel very unsure of ourselves. This podcast where Cliff shares some great advice right out of the bible on decision making and problem solving, was for me, a great and very timely reminder!  Wisdom – it’s good thing.  :-)

Podcast Answer Man 123A Patent for Podcasting?

In this episode, Cliff shares some shocking news in the world of podcasting.  There has been a story posted that states that a Californian company receives patent for Podcasting – Cliff  shares what this article says and his thoughts.

And that’s a wrap for last week!

So, the thing my mother-in-law raves about that she thinks I should try is Deep Fried Oreos. Now, I like Oreos and I like things that are deep fried.  I’m just not convinced this is a match made in heaven.  I’m afraid this is going to be like fried dough, which makes you feel like there’s a little angry Jabba the Hutt in your stomach before you even get it half eaten (where I’m from we actually have the trifecta of fried dough desserts – all three can be found at our county fair: fried dough, funnel cakes and zeppoles).  Have any of you ever had deep fried oreos?  Or anything else even weirder (or greasier!) at your county fair?  Leave me a comment and tell me!

See you next week! Carole
