In this episode, I share an update on how the healing process is going after breaking two ribs two weeks ago. I also talk about how a new FitBit friend is motivating me to get back into my walking routine.

I share some insights that I have gained as I reflect on the the past two weeks and how I’ve allowed myself to get in a place where I felt stressed and overwhelmed. In this, I share how, while I am getting pretty good at saying “No” to most requests for my time, I’ve still found it difficult to say no to some people who have offers that seem “too good to pass up.”

For those interested in checking out the video I made from my trip to Nashville, you can check it out in the past at http://gspn.tv/TokensShow.

I wrap up the episode explaining the new morning routine that I desire to work myself into. I hope that you enjoy this episode. If so, please let me know in the comments section below.

Sharing these thoughts therapeutic and knowledge for us.

Your "dilemma" with the extra work sounds like something Dan Miller had talked about on his podcast recently regarding turning down work that would be big, but it did not fit into his mission/vision statement.  I do not know if that applies here, but it came to mind.

Thank you Sir.

@Christopher Battles Very close, however, turning down the things that don't fit within my mission statement are the easy "no's."  It's when I'm offered multiple HUGE OPPORTUNITIES all within the same time frame that perfectly fit into my overall mission and plan for the future.

Let's put it this way, I've had two of THE BIGGEST OPPORTUNITIES EVER come as a request for me to be at two different places at the same time.  They are both VERY HUGE.  I had already committed to speaking at Michael Hyatt's Platform Conference in Nashville, TN that week.  So I had to turn down the other major opportunity.

The other opportunity "could technically" be pulled off, as it is something that I could do from my laptop anywhere I had an internet connection.  However, it would leave me NO MARGIN and it would actually degrade the opportunity that exists with fully engaging with the Platform Conference.

I'm very blessed to have such issues.  I fully recognize this fact. :)  It's just hard to say continue to say no when the person behind the other opportunity continues to try to find ways to make it work for me.   Like I said, it's a huge opportunity and would do much to add to my overall exposure. :)

@Cliff Ravenscraft :)  A test of this blessing.  Later you will look back and realize how important it was to keep that margin as things continue to grow.  It will be an example of saying "I could have done this, but I did not and look at where I am now."  More of these times will come up and if margin is given up every time you will not be following your mission statement. This will be a large lesson in your story and I can see you talking about it when you share your story specifically on margin.

You are saying yes to your devotional time and wife and children and health and friends.

Good work Sir.

P.S. I just re noticed  "would do much to add to my overall exposure" and thought of a light being focused and having more impact and that is what you will do.

K, bye

CliffRavenscraft , thanks for continuing to share you journey and challenges - this backstage view is very interesting watch. I think you have created a new niche of entertainment and media broadcasting "Reality Radio" or you might call it Audio "Life-Casting."  Cant wait for your video broadcast of Late Night with Cliff's "in the garage studio."

Its seems that your being blessed with exponential growth.  What about the subject of infrastructure investment and development? if future episodes of PABL can you share your thoughts on where your headed with regards to the development of your brands in future? I.E. where is GSPN headed in the future - what is the next level?

Cheers,

@akaTGIF  Thanks Byron.  Yes, many of those things will be shared in PABl in the future.  Most of that stuff is still just floating around as thoughts that haven't ever been spoken out loud or written down yet.  There's a good chance that some of it might be shared in a PABL episode first.
