In episode 75 of my vlog, I shared my current thoughts on how I currently prioritize the social networks that I use. I neglected to mention two very important social networks that actually should have ranked #3 and #4 of my list of priorities. This vlog was created to set the record strait.
This vlog contains my most recent thoughts as to where I am finding value in the available social media platforms.
VERY IMPORTANT UPDATE TO THIS VIDEO: I don’t know how it happened, but when I was recording this vlog, I completely forgot to mention Youtube & Instagram. For the record, I find YouTube to be my #3 priority and Instagram to be my #4 priority.
In today’s vlog, I celebrate my son’s team winning 1st place in his robotics competition and my daughter, McKenna’s, team tying for 2nd place in her Odyssey of the Mind competition. I took a 4.5 hour nap and completed a 90 minute workout session.
In this episode of Family From The Heart, Stephanie and I talk about the following:
– Pursuing The Life For Which We Were Created.
– Meagan’s driving.
– Energy Drinks.
– Batman V Superman.
– NYC Trip
Earlier today, I had one of my Podcasting A to Z students tell me that she now has cold feet about publishing her first podcast episode.
She’s spent the past two weeks tweaking her equipment setup and figuring out the audio editing process. She’s produced a sample audio file that I gave a “PERFECT” rating. (And most of you know just how much of an audio snob I am.)
During the first week, I asked her why she wanted to launch her podcast. She wrote… “My life’s mission, and the purpose of my podcast, is to share my experience, strength, and hope around recovery from compulsive spending, to help others who feel powerless over the obsession to buy, shop, and spend…”
However, today, while other students are submitting their first episodes to iTunes, she wrote to me saying… “So I’m having an identity crisis, Cliff….. I’m not sure I should be doing this particular podcast now. I know you cannot make the decision, but I’d like your feedback about my concerns.”
She went on to write about about how a few of her friends in recovery have cautioned her about some of the things that she was considering with her platform.
She then wrote… “I’m worried that people will get upset with me for sharing my experience, strength, and hope this way.”
And she told me that she had an idea for a different podcast that she might pursue instead.
This interaction inspired today’s vlog post!
BTW. After giving this student my feedback, she wrote back with the following….
Cliff, I cannot thank you enough for this amazing motivational response. I will be using it in the podcast, if you don’t mind. Your transformation is astounding. I read the FB post and comments, and was so struck by this exchange you had with someone:
THEY SAID: I know you won’t call out the hater who mocked you, but I hope he sees this and the profound support you so deservedly have received. Well done! Keep up the good work!
And YOU SAID: Yeah, funny thing is that guy made it into the most recent Keynote that I did. I used it as an example of how you can’t allow others, who don’t understand your vision, keep you from moving toward your goal as a result of their negative feedback.
This may be the shortest vlog to date. We did our monthly accounting work, got one other big item completed from my to do list, had a back & biceps strength training session and we went and saw Batman V Superman.
In this episode of my vlog, I ask everyone to please check out episode 442 of The Cliff Ravenscraft Show found at http://PodcastAnswerMan.com/442. I also talk about the things I accomplished on Friday, March 25th, 2016.
I made a pretty significant mistake in today’s vlog. I stated that today, the 24th, was exactly sixteen months since I made the decision to drastically change my life. However, it was actually November FOURTEENTH (not the 24th), 2014, when I made that decision. So technically, it’s been sixteen months and ten days.
In a recent episode, Stephanie and I both used the word “Freedom” to describe the environment of our family and parenting. Katie wrote in and said that she was “really curious to hear more about how you are raising your kids in freedom and what this means for you guys.” We go pretty deep into our response to this question after we finished talking about two binge-worthy shows on Netflix.
Special Thanks to our Patreon Supporters

I’ve been producing daily vlog posts for two months now.
Even though I’m using Snapchat to create these posts, which is easy enough, it is actually a lot of work to turn them into video formats that work for my YouTube channel, my video podcast feed and even to upload them Facebook.
I have a motto that I live by that says… “I don’t need easy, I just need worth it.” After two months of creating these vlog posts on a daily basis, I’m asking my community to help me answer the question… Is it worth it?
Many folks have been asking me why I have so many screens in my office. Do I use them for anything other than branding? I’m devoting today’s vlog post to answering these questions.
While I share the primary purpose for each of the screens you see in my office, the reality is that they each of them are used for a many other things that didn’t immediately come to mind as I was creating this vlog post.
