Pursuing A Balanced Life
Follow Your Passion And The Money Will Follow

In this episode I share my thoughts on the phrase, “Follow your passion and the money will follow.” This is exactly what I did just almost two years ago and I've certainly found the statement to be true.

I share some of the amazing things that have happened as a result of focusing on my core talents and abilities.

I also share that I don't think going off and starting your own business is for everyone. Though, I do believe it would be a great fit for more people than actually realize it. On my journey, I've learned some things that I think are critical to consider when thinking about leaping out there on your own.

* Surround Yourself With Positive People
* Must have the support of your spouse
* Passion is required
* Some natural talent must exist as a foundation
* Determination – No escape clause.
* Self Discipline – Can be learned through accountability
* Faith

    I’ve taken a serious leap of faith and this podcast episode confirmed so much. I heard you on Pat Flynn’s Smart Passive Income podcast and knew that I wanted to hear your story. Thank you for sharing.

  • @pmadberry I’m so thrilled that this episode is still getting attention.  Let me just say that things have only got 1000% better since I’ve recorded this episode.I do, however, encourage that you check out the other part of this story at http://gspn.tv/passion2

    Cliff I am so grateful to be able to hear this podcast from you. Thanks to pat flyn I was not only able to listen to this amazing podcast, but I also learned an important message is “no matter what you do continue pursuing what you love doing” even if life knocks the door in front of you, it will eventually open its way for you to pass through.
    And I have to say that I am struggling with finding what I love doing the most (18 years old), but there is one thing at this present moment that I feel really passionate about which is web designing. Another that I do like a lot (didn’t buy the equipment for it) is photography. Like I love the beauty of nature, the way nature combines and merge together, the color, its just amazing!
    Although my only problem right now is not knowing if my parents will accept what I am doing or what I am seeking. Because my father is like, you need the degree or you won’t succeed and my mother is  like “get the degree for your own safety”. In reality I believe that someone choose its own way of living, but not the way other choose for you to live.
    So in this particular situation, what you would suggest to a teenage person like me who wants to learn, but not through the same old school system, who wants to surround himself with more peoples that lives this particular life, but can’t find any in his area?
    At this current moment though I learn through websites such as ted, khanacademy, rsa etc. I am grateful to see peoples sharing resources to those that seeks knowledge.
    Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions and concerns.

    Hi,Cliff love your show and most of all your enthusiasm. I wonder how can you make sure your podcast is blooper free,thanks in advance?

  • no9to5blogger Well, one way would be to not make any bloopers and a second way would be to simply edit out any bloopers that you do make.
