Have You Asked Yourself Why?
In has been six years since I was first introduced to the world of audio podcasting. You only need to go through the information on my about page to learn just how much of a profound impact podcasting has had on my life. Last week, I was interviewed by John Martin of Small Business Round Table, for an upcoming podcast episode. In the interview, he asked me one of the most powerful questions that I have been asked in an interview. He asked “Why do you do what you do?”
While I was able to provide an answer to that question on the spot, I speent this entire weekend pondering that question on each of the things that I have committed myself to. In this episode, I share some top of mind thoughts when it comes to why I create all the podcast content that I create. I also spend some time sharing why I do one on one consulting/coaching and group training in my Podcasting A to Z course.
At the very core, I do not do what I do for the money. There have been a few times when I've become distracted by the potential for making more money. I'm certainly not opposed to finding ways to increase my income further by what I do. However, deep down, I'm often reminded that I need to step backa and get refocused on my reason for doing what I do.
Over the past six years, I've received hundreds upon hundreds of phone calls, emails, and letters from people all over the world who have shared how something that I've shared in a podcast episode has had a positive impact on their lives. As you will find out in this episode, audio podcasting is continuing to have a massive positive impact in my own life. It is my hope and desire that I will continue to have the honor of producing such valuable content and it is equally my desire to help other people discover the joy of producing similar content.
I hope you enjoy this special episode of Podcast Answer Man.
