Ed & Lisa Murphy hosted a cookout recently for the Savchick Cell Group. We had our official Multiplication Celebration this past Thursday. However, we had planned to have this get-together for the past several weeks. It was really awesome to have Melissa Hagen's parents join us for the cookout. We couldn't have had better weather and boy was the the fishing good.
I've put the photos in my photo gallery. However, you can click here to see them in slide show format.
I recently got this AWESOME Comment from Travis Blaney regarding my last post about our cell multiplication. He wrote…
Being this is my first “cell” experience, I don't have any expections of the multiplication process. I do know, from talking with you and others in my cell, that this multiplication has been a little different than others due to the many changes being made. i.e. – merging the Mens and Women's cells with the couples groups. As I said before, I don't have any expectations, but I see the changes as positive. I know there are some who will be scared of this change and even opposed, but from what I can tell, CHANGE is a huge part of the cell experience. I go every week so that I can change the person I am. I can become the person God wants me to be. If I stay stagnant, I don't grow in my relationship with Christ. If the cell stays stagnant, it's member's don't grow. I know you are one of the many people at First Church who is on the front lines of these Changes, and I want to thank you for doing what God has spoken to you to do. I look forward to moving to Tuesday nights. You and I will teach them women something – :) just kidding.
Thanks Travis for those VERY encouraging words!
