I've been showing people my before and after photo from time to time only to realize that I have lost twenty more pounds since the June photo.
I find it almost impossible to believe that I've actually lost 34 pounds since May 1st, 2009. But the photos confirm this truth!
These photos serve to remind me that my three to five mile walks five days a week are really paying off in big ways. This is important to me because there are days when going out for a daily walk is not at the top of the list of things that I want to do for the day.
I've taken some time this evening to snap to new photos to go into the archives of my weight loss journey. This first photo is simply my updated before and after photo.
The following photo helps gives me an idea of just how big of a change has been made. When I first started out, I was on the very last notch on my belt. Not on the tight end, but on the other end of the belt. The end where I almost needed to get a “bigger” belt. The shorts that I'm wearing in these updated photos used to fit me without the need for the belt at all.
These days, I've gone to the opposite end of the belt. I've actually gone beyond the last notch in the belt in the other direction and just received a “smaller” belt as a gift from some very dear friends.
I'd just like to say that I have not been using any special “products” to lose weight. I've simply made a commitment to walk three to five miles a day, no less than five days week. In conjunction, I've also counted my calories every single day and I've really changed the types of foods that I eat to fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish, nuts, and beans.
