This photo and story comes from Anne from Germany.

Hi, my name is Anne from Diersburg, Germany. I'd like to share the story behind this photo.

Cliff has stated over and over again that his main focus for podcasting is not to simply to make money or to reach hundreds of thousands of listeners and downloads. Instead, his desire to to provide environments that make it possible to build relationships between people with shared passions. And, in this, he is very successful.

Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting Hannah, one of my many friends who I got to know through the community.

Let me start from the beginning. Hannah is a 13-year-old aspiring musician who wrote the song for Cliff and Meagan’s Hanna Montana Fan Podcast. In August 2008 my little sister Valerie celebrated her 18th birthday and I wanted to give her something very special, something unique to show her how much she means to me. Since Valerie and I love music more than anything, I had the idea of giving her her own song and so I contacted Cliff to see if he would ask Hannah if she was interested in writing and recording a song for Valerie. She immediately said yes and a couple of weeks later she had written a wonderful song. This is how our friendship started.

Fast-forward to June 13th 09. After my graduation, I flew to London with my cousin for a short trip to celebrate. I knew that Hannah lived close to London and she had told me that she’d be in town for a music festival. So we arranged to meet and it was wonderful.

We met her and her whole family and we couldn’t have had a better time. They are the nicest people. It felt like I knew them for years, we had so much to talk about. Hannah is an amazing, sweet, and very talented young lady. I cannot wait to see them again- in Germany or England. I am sure that over the years, our friendship will continue to grow.

Hannah and I would’ve never gotten to know each other had it not been for Cliff's mission to build the community the way that he has done.
