In this episode of Podcast Answer Man, I am very delighted to share a conversation with Mark Pentleton from RadioLingua.com. I first learned about Mark through his Coffee Break Spanish podcast back in the Summer of 2007 when my wife and I were going on vacation to Los Cabos, Mexico. I was looking for a podcast that would help me brush up on some of my basic Spanish and was thrilled to find this show.
It was not until this conversation that I learned that there are a number of things that Mark and I share in common when comes to how we turned our passion for podcasting into our full-time career.
Mark was a secondary school teacher in Scotland and decided to incorporate podcasting as a part of his teaching in a government funded educational project. When that project had ended and podcasting was no longer a part of Mark's day job, he found that his passion for teaching language through podcasting continued on. This led him to create the Coffee Break Spanish Podcast. One thing led to another and he soon found himself launching an entire podcast network around teaching languages called Radio Lingua. In our conversation, you'll get an idea of how this all took place.
